A Visit to a Historical Place Last summer, we went to my uncle’s house in Lahore. Lahore is a city full of old and beautiful buildings. One day, my aunt said we should visit a historical place. I like old things made in the Mughal period. So, we planned to go on Sunday. Nobody had seen Jahangir’s tomb, so we decided to see it. We took a taxi and reached there quickly. The big tomb of Jahangir was in front of us.Since it was a holiday, many people came for a picnic. When we entered the main gate, it felt like we were in another world. Visiting this place made us think about the past. The stories and history there made it very interesting.Near Jahangir’s tomb is the tomb of Noor Jahan, Jahangir’s famous queen. She lived and died in Lahore. Her tomb is in a park with a high wall.Noor Jahan’s tomb is very beautiful. It is made of white marble and colorful stones. There are four tall towers at the corners.
